A Peek At Kanye West’s Luxury Car Collection
“Ye,” one of the biggest names in the industry, Kanye Omari West, a.k.a. Kanye West is a music producer and popular American rapper. His net worth is $400 million, and he is known to be the ex-husband of Kim Kardashian. An early 2000s rising star and a hip-hop artist who has undeniably shown his keen interest in vehicles by owning multiple of them, ranging from a Lamborghini to a Bugatti, it’s not surprising that he possesses a complete $7 million garage.
As a rapper, Kanye West has built himself from zero to one of the best-selling artists of all time, and it’s clear why he not only deserves this fame but also has dedicated himself to entertaining us as an artist. Kanye West’s debut album, “The College Dropout,” led him to a successful career.
West quickly rose to fame with his innovative style and unique approach to music, blending elements of hip-hop, soul, and pop to create his own sound. He has released numerous critically acclaimed albums throughout his career, including “Late Registration,” “Graduation,” “808s & Heartbreak,” “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” “Yeezus,” and “Donda.”
In addition to his music, West is also known for his fashion and design work. He launched his own clothing line, Yeezy, in 2015, which has since become one of the most successful celebrity fashion brands in the world. He has also collaborated with Adidas on a series of highly sought-after sneakers and has designed merchandise for his own music tours.
West has been known for his controversial and outspoken public persona, often making headlines for his controversial statements and behavior. He has been involved in several public feuds with other celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Kid Cudi, and Pete Davidson, and has been criticized for his support of former US President Donald Trump and his comments on slavery, Adolf Hitler, and the Holocaust.
In 2022, he made a number of antisemitic remarks that led to widespread condemnation and the loss of numerous sponsors and business relationships, including his affiliations with Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga. The result was his net worth dropped to $410 million from over $2 billion just over a year ago.
The Ripsaw EV2 Tank Was The First Vehicle Sold
If you think West’s troubles started recently, think again because already in October 2021, the designer was saying goodbye to one of his amazing toys, a Ripsaw EV2 tank, which featured in his Closed On Sunday video. According to TMZ, West sold the military vehicle to David “Heavy D” Sparks and David “Diesel Dave” Kiley of the Discovery reality TV show Diesel Brothers.
The Diesel Brothers claim to have known West since a few years ago, when a member of the rapper’s team contacted them to ask if they might work on one of West’s trucks, but the plans never materialized. Then, in October, someone from West’s entourage contacted them again to inquire about their interest in purchasing the Ripsaw he was trying to sell. Given that there is a three-year waiting list for one of these military vehicles, it appears like the Diesel Brothers didn’t have to give much thought before traveling to West’s ranch in Wyoming to pick it up. An interesting fact about this vehicle is that it comes equipped with a built-in DVD player, which, according to Heavy D, plays the same K-pop video over and over again. Who knew that Kanye West is a K-pop fan?
The Lambos
So far so good, as we’re kicking off the list with two relatively ‘normal’ cars, if you want to call a Lamborghini normal.
Kanye West has owned both a Gallardo and an Aventador.
Kanye’s Aventador was finished in matte black, with matching black wheels, and it delivers around 700 horsepower from its V12 engine.
His assistant actually crashed his Lambo once.
Back when it was new, a Gallardo would’ve set you back $180,000, while the Aventador is now valued at around $500,000.
Kanye also owns a Lamborghini Urus SUV, because of course he does, which costs around $240,000.
Clearly a huge Lambo fan, he was once papped in Tokyo with yet another Lambo.
That one was white.
Kanye West love-hate relationship with Maybach
Rappers used to be absolutely obsessed with the Maybach brand in the early 2000s.
Kanye has owned a Maybach 57, which was a $600,000 vehicle when it was new, and he’s actually destroyed one, too.
In 2011, Kanye West and Jay-Z smashed a Maybach limousine for a music video.
If you’re into cars, it’s kind of hard to watch, to be honest.
The heavy hitters
Kanye West has owned a McLaren-Mercedes SLR and a McLaren-Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss.
The former is a super rare, super exclusive supercar with gull-wing doors.
The latter is a speedster variant for the SLR, and it is even more exclusive and rare.
It was named after the legendary racing driver Sir Stirling Moss and only 75 units were built, with a starting price of $1 million.
But that was then.
Nowadays, the SLR Stirling Moss has a market value of at least $3.5 million
