Callixte Nzamwita, aged 71, is reported to have been living in self-isolation for the past 55 years, ensuring that he has no contact with any female persons.

At the young age of 16, Callixte began to practice self-isolation. This included all activities such as sleeping, cooking, and even relieving himself within his own residence.

In a YouTube video released by Afrimax TV, the hermit stated that he had constructed a fence and barricaded himself inside his home to prevent female visitors from getting close to him.

The neighbor who was questioned by the station recollected: “Whenever we tried to lend a hand, he didn’t want us to get near him or start a conversation.” We provide him with items by throwing them into the abode. Despite his unwillingness to open up, he still accepts our offerings from afar.

His neighbors are tasked with delivering the necessities he requires to his home, as he is fearful of coming into contact with people of the opposite sex.

According to PsychCentral, it is possible that Callixte may be suffering from gynophobia, a fear of women. This can cause severe anxiety and disturb individuals’ daily life.
