This Rwandan Gentleman Has Lived In Seclusion For 55 Years, Aims To “Keep Women Away”
Interacting with someone of the opposite gender can be intimidating for some people, causing them to take drastic measures to avoid it. It has been claimed that an individual from Rwanda has been living in seclusion for fifty years because of his intense apprehension of females.
For 55 years, a Rwandan man has been living a life of seclusion due to his intense fear of th
Callixte Nzamwita, aged 71, is reported to have been living in self-isolation for the past 55 years, ensuring that he has no contact with any female persons.
At the young age of 16, Callixte began to practice self-isolation. This included all activities such as sleeping, cooking, and even relieving himself within his own residence.
In a YouTube video released by Afrimax TV, the hermit stated that he had constructed a fence and barricaded himself inside his home to prevent female visitors from getting close to him.
The neighbor who was questioned by the station recollected: “Whenever we tried to lend a hand, he didn’t want us to get near him or start a conversation.” We provide him with items by throwing them into the abode. Despite his unwillingness to open up, he still accepts our offerings from afar.
His neighbors are tasked with delivering the necessities he requires to his home, as he is fearful of coming into contact with people of the opposite sex.
Callixte seemed to be physically not very strong, yet he was adamant on continuing the lifestyle he has had for over fifty years in the video. He voiced that his lifestyle is adequate for him. He asserted: “I had no goal of courting a female and I’m content with that.” I feel a sense of fear when I am in the presence of women.

According to PsychCentral, it is possible that Callixte may be suffering from gynophobia, a fear of women. This can cause severe anxiety and disturb individuals’ daily life.
It was made clear by the website that, contrary to popular belief, gynophobia is a true phobia and not just a form of misogyny.
In contrast, androphobia is an apprehension of males. The Cleveland Clinic states it is an ‘extreme anxiety’ involving men that can be triggered by images of them for those who suffer from it.
