Quattro Icon: GIAC-Tuned Audi RS4 Avant with 375HP and All the Right Mods

This 2000 Audi RS4 Avant spent time in Switzerland before it was acquired by the seller and imported to the US in 2025. Finished in Avus Silver Pearl Effect over Onyx Valcona leather, the car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 linked with a six-speed manual transaxle and quattro all-wheel drive. Equipment includes a GIAC Stage One ECU calibration, KW V3 coilovers, anti-lock disc brakes, 19″ Apex alloy wheels, a factory aero package, xenon headlights, a sunroof, a rear wiper delete, heated power-adjustable Recaro front seats, automatic climate control, navigation, and a CD stereo linked to a Bose sound system. Work performed in preparation for the sale included replacing the turbochargers, servicing the engine, transmission, and rear differential, and overhauling the front suspension. This B5 RS4 has 152k milometers (~95k miles) and is offered by the seller in California with an owner’s manual, service records, factory wheels, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The RS4 was built by quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm, Germany, and it features widened wheel arches along with revised bumper covers, grilles, and side skirts compared with contemporary A4 and S4 models. This wagon is finished in Avus Silver Pearl Effect (LY7J), and exterior details include fog lights, xenon headlights, a sunroof, satin metal trim, a rear wiper delete, and twin exhaust outlets. The seller tells us that the car was refinished under previous ownership and paint meter readings from around the bodywork are presented in the gallery.

The Apex ML-10RT 19″ wheels with gold centers and polished lips are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires. The car is equipped with an Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) and the suspension is lowered on adjustable KW V3 coilovers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The front upper and lower control arms were replaced in May 2025. Refinished factory wheels with Pirelli Sottozero 3 snow tires are included in the sale.

The heated power-adjustable Recaro front seats and split-folding rear bench are upholstered in Onyx Valcona leather. Carbon-fiber trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels, and additional appointments include automatic climate control, a retractable cargo cover, an integrated cargo net, navigation, and a factory CD stereo linked to a Bose sound system.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central digital display, a 310-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 152k kilometers (~95k miles) miles, less than 1k of which were added under current ownership.

Developed by Cosworth Technology and equipped with twin BorgWarner K04 turbochargers, the RS4’s 30-valve 2.7-liter V6 was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Service performed in May 2025 included changing the oil, coolant, and power steering fluid, and replacing the following components:
- Turbochargers
- Engine mounts
- Passenger-side timing cover
- Driver-side valve cover gasket
- Secondary water pump
- Coolant expansion tank
- Coolant temperature sensor
- Fuel filter
- Spark plugs
The ECU has a GIAC Stage One tune for 91 octane. A decal under the hood indicates that a timing belt service was performed in 2013. An inspection was performed in April 2025 by Pacific German Inc. of Laguna Hills, California, and the resulting report shown in the gallery states “Timing belt and water pump look newer.”

Power is routed to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a Quattro all-wheel-drive system with a Torsen center differential. The transmission and rear differential fluids were changed and the right front inner axle boot and right rear differential seal were replaced in preparation for the sale.
