1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

This 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is said to have remained with the same family for three decades in Venezuela before it was acquired by the seller in 2021 and imported to the US in 2024. Work completed under previous ownership included refinishing the body in gray with side graphics, reupholstering the interior in gray vinyl, refreshing the air conditioning system, and applying an undercoating treatment. Power is provided by a 4.2-liter 2F inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is equipped with manually-locking front hubs, a removable hardtop with a white roof, 15″ steel wheels, power steering, a Blaupunkt CD stereo, and rear jump seats. This FJ40 is now offered by the seller with a clean Florida title.

The truck was refinished in its current shade of gray under previous ownership and features red and black side graphics. Exterior equipment includes a removable hardtop with a white roof as well as a rear step, side steps, and a split tailgate. Close-up photos of the paintwork and trim are presented in the gallery.

The 15″ white-painted steel wheels are mounted with 31×10.5″ General Grabber AT2 tires, and a matching spare wheel is mounted on the rear swing-out carrier and wears a Firestone Destination A/T tire. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs and power steering, and braking is provided by front disc and rear drums.

The seating surfaces were reupholstered in gray vinyl under previous ownership and have been wrapped in plastic. Black vinyl lines the floors, transmission tunnel, and rear cargo area, and additional interior elements include a refreshed dashboard and door panels, as well as a glove compartment, hand-crank windows, front shoulder belts, a Blaupunkt CD stereo, and air conditioning.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 61k kilometers (~38k miles).

The rear cargo area features inward-facing jump seats and a black floor mat.

The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six is equipped with a single carburetor and sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

Corrosion is visible on various underbody components, and additional underside images are viewable in the gallery. The seller notes that the frame received an undercoating treatment.
